The 135th Canton Fair kicked off on April 15th and will run until early May. It is noteworthy that this year, many African buyers have come to the Canton Fair in search of business opportunities.
According to records from the past five sessions of the Canton Fair, an average of 14,000 African buyers attended each session of the offline exhibition, while an average of 95,000 African buyers participated in the online exhibition. Simultaneously, the Canton Fair has attracted enterprises from 46 African countries such as Egypt, Uganda, Kenya, and Zambia to participate in the import exhibition, covering target products like electronic appliances, hardware and building materials, household goods, food, and other themes.
On April 16th, the Canton Fair held a special event titled “Explore New Business Opportunities in Africa,” inviting guests from various organizations to discuss how Chinese enterprises can further develop in Africa, demonstrating the growing demand for trade between Africa and China. Last year, China-Africa trade reached a historic peak of $282.1 billion, and China has been Africa's largest trading partner for 15 consecutive years.
